The applicant's chosen will be trained to perform inspections, maintenance, repairs and installations on Level 1 and Level 2 equipment. Your training will consist of field activities, in-house classroom orientation and self-study programs. At some point during this period you will also be introduced to Level 2 equipment.

Once you have demonstrated that you have obtained a thorough knowledge of the equipment that you have been trained on and the regulations that govern our industry you will be scheduled to take the Seattle Certification Test. When you have successfully accomplished this exam and possess a certification card you will then be assigned a fully equipped service vehicle and a territory to begin your fire protection career.

To advance your career from level 1 and 2 will require additional training. This training will consist of attending manufacturer's training programs and enrolling in local technical schools. Advancing past level 1 and 2 is based on company needs and the aptitude of the technician.
