ProtectoWire™
ProtectoWire™ is a proprietary cable that detects heat conditions anywhere along its length. The sensor cable is comprised of two steel conductors individually insulated with a heat sensitive polymer. The insulated conductors are twisted together to impose a spring pressure between them, then wrapped with a protective tape and finished with an outer jacket suitable for the environment in which the Detector will be installed.

HARSH™ (Hostile-Area Smoke Head)
NOTIFIER's FSH-751 smoke detector provides early warning smoke detection in hostile environments where traditional smoke detectors are not practical. Using a small air intake fan and a high-performance replaceable filter, air and smoke are drawn into a photoelectric sensing chamber, while unwanted airborne particulate and water mist are removed. This feature allows HARSH to operate in difficult applications, such as textile and paper mills, which due to environmental conditions tend to cause nuisance alarms with standard smoke detectors.

The FSB-200 Series consists of a transmitter/receiver unit and a reflector. When smoke enters the area between the unit and the reflector it causes a reduction in the signal and, when the smoke level reaches the pre-determined threshold, an alarm is activated. The FSB-200 Series has four standard sensitivity selections along with two Acclimate settings. When either of the two Acclimate settings are selected the detector will automatically adjust its sensitivity using advanced software algorithms to select the optimum sensitivity for the specific envronment.
The FSB-200S is equipped with an integral sensitivity test feature that consists of a test filter attached to a servo motor inside the detecor optics. Using the remote test station RTS451, the motor is activated and moves the filter in the pathway of the light beam, thereby testing detector sensitivty.
